If we choose your solution now but in a few years decide to end the collaboration, what happens to our monthly donors who have registered through you?
For us, it's important to emphasize that we are your technical provider, meaning you always own the mandate to charge your donors. We are a technical provider that makes everything work with system and donor communication, scheduling of transactions and donation management.
Funds collected always go from donor to your account. As a technical provider, we hold the right to act on your agreements. But they are still your agreements and you own the mandates to charge your donors.
What happens to donors and transactions when the service is closed?
You have ownership rights over your donors. We at Octany facilitate the technical management of them, but you have the ultimate authority for their use.
When an Octany account is terminated, all recurring charges are automatically stopped. You have access to all your data and can export reports for up to one month after the account has been closed. After that, the account is deleted and cannot be restored.
Swish
We are your technical provider according to your agreement with us. If Octany is closed and you have recurring donors (e.g., monthly donors or annual members) via Swish, you will need to find an alternative way to activate these payments again.
Card
You still have your donors with our subcontractor Stripe.
Fortnox
The Octany service automatically creates invoices according to the interval you have specified. If you remove Octany, you will need to create invoices manually or find another service that can do it automatically for you.
Direct Debit via Trustly
Trustly holds the mandate to charge your donors. No charges will be made after you have terminated your agreement with us.
Direct Debit via Billecta
Your Billecta account will be closed when you close Octany. No charges will be made after the agreement is terminated.
